  8. Installation on Windows 95/98 and NT4.0

  11. 1.  If your are installing from a ZIP file, a floppy disk or a CD, run 
  12.     setup either by double clicking on the setup.exe file in the
  13.     Explorer or by selecting "Run" from the Taskbar's Start menu.
  14.  
  15. 2.  If you are installing from a self-extracting (.EXE) file, run 
  16.     the file by double clicking on the file name in the Explorer or 
  17.     by selecting "Run" from the Taskbar's Start menu.

  19. Usage on Windows 95/98 and NT4.0
  20. ---------------------------------
  21.  
  22. 1.  Click on the Start button in your Taskbar.  Select "Settings".
  23.     Select "Control Panel".
  24.  
  25. 2.  In the Control Panel window, double click on the "Display" icon.
  26.  
  27. 3.  Select "Screen Saver" tab.
  28.  
  29. 4.  Select the screen saver you have installed from the list of screen 
  30.     savers.
  31.  
  32. 5.  Click on the "Settings" button.  The options dialog box allows
  33.     you to set various options for the screen saver - Password,
  34.     Transition Effects and Display time for each image.  After 
  35.     selecting the desired options, click on the OK button.
  36.  
  37. 6.  Click on "Preview" button to test the screen saver.  If you are 
  38.     satisfied with the Screen Saver, click on OK button in the
  39.     "Display" window to set the screen saver.
  40.  
  41. 7.  The screen saver settings can also be accessed from the "Programs" 
  42.     menu of "Start" button.

  45. Common problems and solutions:
  46. ------------------------------
  47.  
  48. (1) Problem: "Sub or Function not defined" error during installation or operation.
  49. Solution: Please restart Windows and install the screen saver again.
  50.  
  51. (2) Problem: could not copy file : SETUP1.EXE -> C:\WINDOWS\setup1.exe
  52. Solution: If you already have a setup1.exe in your Windows directory(c:\windows\setup1.exe), please rename or remove it and try installing again.

  54. (3) "One or more Visual Basic applications are running. Please close..." error during installation.
  55. Solution: Please restart Windows. Install the screen saver before you start any other application.
